The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received the President of the Pan-African Parliament, H.E. Dr. Fateh Boutbig, and members of the Parliament’s Bureau in Addis Ababa. H.E. Youssouf reaffirmed the Commission’s support for the Pan-African Parliament in carrying out its mandate and in contributing to Africa’s integration and development agenda.
The meeting formed part of the Parliament’s wider effort to deepen cooperation with African Union organs and institutions, to reinforce its role as the voice of Africa’s peoples, and to contribute to the continent’s shared priorities.
